Well, how is everyone?! CVHS is awesome, but I do really miss all the fab people at Great Waltham!
Just to let you know, I'm really enjoying high school and have got invloved with lots of things there!!
Also, a small note to Mrs. Hoare, I have already been invovled with the school production of We Will Rock You which was really fuhn to do! I am also now a member of the school's senior choir, and we will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall on the 6th of June!

Hope everyone is good, and I cant wait to see all the fabulous yr. 6s at Chelmer!!

hi great waltham school
i cant wait for chelmer and the isle of white but im not looking forward to sats im so nervious im so worried that when all the year 6's go up to chelmer that we will all split up and find new friends finding new friends is good but i dont want to lose my old ones.
i will also terriably miss you mrs wilson and mrs welch and the head teacher mrs wilson but life just moves on and theres no way of stoping it i mean i cant stay at this school forever, hopfully because remie my sister is at this school i will be able to stay in touch. i cant belive how fast time at great waltham school has gone i feel like i only joined yesterday! thanks to al the teachers who helped with with my maths and all other subjects hopefully because of your help i might be able to get a 5c in my maths =) cya xxxxx

I attended Gt Waltham in the late 70's / early 80's, even laid a brick in the new hall when it was being built and remember the excitement of watching it being built. I loved this school so much, was such a lovely environment to be in and a great introduction to learning. Mr Trowe was the headmaster, such a lovely man. And I remember Mrs Perkins, Mrs Hunt and Mrs Dowse as some of the teachers, and Mrs Dines who was my favourite dinner lady!! Only thing I hated was the swimming pool, always so cold and always a rush to get changed in time to catch the school bus home to Pleshey, made me panic everytime! Was in the Leopards team myself, made me smile to see these are still going. So many happy memories from this school.

Hiya! I am a year 6 and delighted to be top of the school. I am the tigers' house captain, and a playground friend. My new year's resolution is to enjoy this last school year before it's over, and make it count! Sometimes school isn't the top choice of locations, but I always get through things. My favourite subject is Literacy, sinse I'm no good at maths. I can't wait for Isle of Wight! It'll be a right good laugh!

I left Great Waltham in 1997 - what a long time ago! It looks very different now - where has the hill with the tunnel gone and the big tractor tyres??!

I loved my time at Gt Waltham its just a shame we all went our seperate ways as it would be nice to still be in touch with eveyone x

My father Tom Middleton taught at Great Waltham School just before the Second World War and returned to teach there after War Service in 1945. He left to teach at Rainsford School in the early 1950s. I was born over the Stores in the Village (my grandfather Harry Bugg ran the shop). My elder brother and sister attended the school - but my family left the village to live in Chelmsford in 1953 - I was only 2 then. My father died a few years ago aged 89.
